Sportive dates 2010

We have some of the first sportive dates coming in, some are still provisional but should give you an idea if you fancy a challenge. Please get in contact if you would like more details.

16th May VII Juan Martinez Oliver sportive. With a guest appearance from Miguel Indurain, yes that's right, the man himself. This is a 113km sportive with a timed 14km race uphill in the middle. It's in Almeria so we drive there and back in a day during your stay. Cost is around 30 depending on entry times.

29th May La Sufrida (the Suffering). This is a tough one around Ronda. 196 km or 117 km with over 4000 metres of climbing for the longer. All timed with electronic chips and gold, silver and bronze times awarded. This involves a 2 night stop in Ronda so please get in touch for costs.

6th June XIV Subida Puerto De Ragua. 100km Sportive with a real race feel. Two passes over the Puerto de Ragua used in last years Vuelta with a 50km flat run back to Guadix for a huge paella. Our most local sportive with a great turnout from the local clubs.

26-27th June Sierra Nevada Limite TBC. No definite date yet but one worth making a note of.
A 2 day sportive around the Granada side of the Sierra Nevada.175 km on the Saturday and then the famous 40km climb up the Pico Veleta on the Sunday. Times will be given for both days and a combined time for the two. An amazing event with a large turnout and a real weekend race atmosphere with food, goody bags and a 2 night stop in Granada.
